Lenovo just dropped their holiday gaming gift guide and it's a doozy.
Gaming is a proven effective stress reliever in trying times. Lenovo teamed up with the World Health Organization in the ongoing #PlayApartTogether initiative to encourage the activity during the pandemic, while also helping promote crucial health guidelines such as physical distancing and proper hand hygiene. We encourage everyone to do some gaming to cap off their 2020 as it creates many opportunities and new memories with family and friends.

Here's a list of their top picks:
Legion Slim 7i

Processor: 10th-Generation Intel Core i7-10750H
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
Memory: 16GB 2933MHz DDR4 RAM
Storage: 1TB SSD (with extra SSD slot)
OS: Windows 10 Home

Man, talk about sexy. What I like about the i7 is that it doesn't look like a "gaming" laptop. You know the type - they typically look like racing cars designed by a teenage boy who just recently discovered 90's comics. It weighs 1.8 kg and is only 17.9mm thick. I mean, you can bring this thing into a crowded coffee shop, looking like a law student and everything, but you're just playing some Among Us or something.
The other upsides of the Slim i7 is the 144Hz monitor and the i7 10750H processor, which can reach up to 5.0ghz clock speeds. It places pretty high in benchmark tests. Check out this graph from Laptoping.com:
Legion Y740Si
Display: 15.6” In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with UHD resolution and High Dynamic Range (HDR)
Processor: 10th-Generation Intel Core i7-10750H
Graphics: Powered by Legion BoostStation eGPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card
Memory: 16GB DDR4 RAM
Storage: 1TB SSD
OS: Windows 10
Price: PHP 144,995
Where to buy: Legion SM North EDSA, Lenovo SM Mall of Asia, Lenovo SM Marikina, Legion SM Megamall, Lenovo SM Megamall, and Legion SM Cebu; Complink, VillMan, Accent Hub, and Thinking Tools in Cebu and Davao
HERE WE GO! This thing is INSANELY good. Think about it - HDR 4K IPS display that can literally go where you go. On its own, it's already a magnificent laptop, but plug in the BoostStation, which is essentially a separate RTX 2060 and you've got yourself a mobile battle station. With the GPU, it isn't the most portable thing, but if you just need a laptop for productivity, the Legion Y740Si on its own is going to be brilliant. You'll save some battery life, too, if it doesn't need to power that GPU.
Legion 5Pi
Display: 15.6” In-Plane Switching (IPS) display with FHD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, less than 3 ms response time, 100% sRGB, Dolby Vision Enabled, 300 nits of brightness
Processor: 10th-Generation Intel Core i7-10750H
Graphics: Up to NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660Ti graphics card
Memory: 8GB 2933MHz DDR4 RAM (with an expansion slot)
Storage: 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (with an SSD expansion slot)
OS: Windows 10 Home
Price: Starts at PHP 71,995
Where to buy: All Legion Concept Stores nationwide
While the 5Pi isn't as powerful or as interesting as the previous two, it certainly strikes a balance between price and performance. The display is, yes, 1080p, but it's has a refresh rate of 144Hz and is an IPS panel. I don't know what to tell you but 1080p is perfectly fine, to be honest. I miss 1080p, just for the performance gains. If you want a good mid-range gaming laptop, this is a solid choice.
Legion 5 & 5i
Display: Up to 15.6" FHD IPS (1920 x 1080, 500 nits brightness, up to 240Hz refresh rate, less than 1ms response time, 100% sRGB, Dolby Vision enabled, VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified
Processor: Up to AMD Ryzen™ 7 4800H mobile processor (Legion 5) or 10th-Generation Intel Core i7-10750H processor (Legion 5i)
Graphics: up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card
Memory: Up to 16GB 3200MHz (Legion 5) or 2933MHz DDR4 RAM (with an expansion slot)
Storage: Up to 1TB PCIe SSD (with an SSD expansion slot)
OS: Windows 10
Price: Starts at PHP 56,995
Where to buy: All Legion Concept Stores and Lenovo authorized resellers nationwide and official online stores
The Lenovo 5 is for the value and budget-conscious but still want a capable gaming system. It's still rocking a GTX 2060 and an i7-10750H or a 4800H, AND a 240Hz IPS monitor. This is what I'm talking about when I say a 1080p monitor stretches your mileage when it comes to performance. For a little under Php 60k, this is a REALLY good choice. This gets our GeekOutPH Choice Award!
IdeaPad Gaming 3 & 3i
Display: 15.6" FHD IPS (1920 x 1080), 250 nits brightness, 120 Hz refresh rate
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 4600H (IdeaPad Gaming 3) or 10th-Generation Intel Core i7-10750H (IdeaPad Gaming 3i)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650Ti graphics card
Memory: 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM or 2933Mhz DDR4 RAM for the IdeaPad Gaming 3i (with expansion slot)
Storage: Up to 512GB SSD storage with an SSD expansion slot
OS: Windows 10 Home
Price: Starts at PHP 46,995
Where to buy: All Legion Concept Stores and Lenovo authorized resellers nationwide and official online stores
Coming in at the most affordable option on the list, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is very budget-friendly, but it's still quite a beast. The GTX 1650Ti isn't the most powerful GPU around, but it's still a very capable card for some light gaming. Playing Genshin Impact? Perfect. Playing Among Us or Fall Guys? Perfect. You can even sneak in some Overwatch and Tekken 7 on this thing, and it'd still be a good experience.

I was in the market for a new phone. I was going to get a Pixel, but this thing is convincing me otherwise. I wanna get my hands on this thing instead!
