Smart user? Gamer? Mobile gamer? Good. Smart is offering a day-long, 3GB package, specifically for gaming.
With Giga Games 99, you have 1 day to use up 1GB for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Clash Royale, Arena of Valor, and Clash of Clans, and 2GB for the Facebook Gaming app. With the 2GB Facebook Gaming app, you should be able to watch streams, live stream yourself, and play Facebook games.
Is that really enough, though? Let's take a look at the numbers.
To play Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, there are a ton of conflicting reports. Some people say you're going to use up about 2.5MB every hour. I fired it up and played one game, and used up about 17.2MB. Actually 58M, but there was a 40.8MB patch so I'm not counting that. Maybe it's just an issue of firing it up after months of inactivity, so I fired it up again and racked up 18.11MB of usage. Granted, it was a much longer game that I clutched out a victory for after coming from a massive deficit. (Just saying.)
So let's say an average Mobile Legends: Bang Bang game uses up maybe a high average of 18MB per game, you can play up to 55.5 games. A typical Mobile Legends match lasts around 15 minutes, so the 1GB will last you up to 13.9 hours. That should be more than enough.
✔️ Good for gaming
But is it enough for watching streams?
While it depends on the quality you watch on, but typically, a live Facebook video can eat up 1.5 to 2MB per minute when watching low-quality 240p video. With 2GB Facebook Gaming allowance, watching a low-quality stream would last you about 16.7 hours, and that's a LOT. If you bump up your quality to 360p, then you're looking at 2.5 to 4MB per minute. That's still 8.3 hours of watching a live stream. Just make sure you don't watch something at 720p, because then you're looking at 10 to 12MB per minute. You can eat up to 700MB per hour, rendering your 2GB useless after 2.85 hours. I guess that's still quite a bit, but that's Php 99 down the drain.
✔️ Good for watching streams at low quality
How is it if you wanna go live?
Well, now it gets really complicated because you'd have to understand bitrates and streaming quality. But let's simplify it, and go with rough estimates.
Streaming at 480p can use up to 9MB to 11MB per minute. That's not even counting the data consumed by the game, if you're streaming something like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. So let's say you stream the game for an hour, you'd potentially use up to 732MB, which means you can only play your game and stream for about 2.7 hours before consuming up all your data.
Thankfully, the default live setting on the Facebook Gaming app (meaning not using a tool like XSplit) is 480p, so you can't accidentally go higher than that in quality. Streaming with this package is stretching it a bit too thin.
❌Not that good for streaming
If you really want to make the most of your Php 99/ day, I recommend you game with it and watch some streams at low res. No point in streaming with it, it'll just eat up your load.
