Alright, ever since I started reading the "The Amazing Spider-Man" title during the Fear Itself event a few months ago, I started to like Spidey. I mean, I wasn't that much of a fan before but after reading the series and back reading some of the issues, I decided to get more figures related to this character like his usual villains and allies.

Just a few days from now, The Amazing Spider-Man movie will be shown here in the Philippines and I'm pretty much going to watch it on its first day. Anyway, Marvel Select of Diamond Select Toys has released 2 figures already from the movie and hopefully they'll release the variant of the Spidey figure.

Before anything else, Marvel Select has earned its name for the superb details of some of their figures and their highly detailed base -- yes, highly detailed. I never thought that they will make a really big Lizard figure for the movie but lo and behold, it's a 9" figure! The figure didn't come with a base or any accessories though (usual for big figures from Marvel Select) but the details are nice. I must admit, despite the fact that I am not that much of a fan of how the Lizard looks in the movie, figure-wise, it's a must have.

The Lizard figure doesn't have double jointed elbows or knees but they did go all out for the Marvel Select Spider-Man figure. Bicep swivel, double jointed elbows and knees, wrist/arm swivel, interchangeable hands, ankle rockers, thigh swivel and lastly a BASE --- wow. I rarely see Marvel Select do this but they used it properly for this character.
