San Diego Comic Con, as we all know, is the mecca of all geekery in the world. And every year, they drop bombs of news in buttloads. And every year, the entire geek community trembles in excitement. I decided to put together a list of what I personally found to be the most exciting announcements of this year's SDCC so far.
Marvel Legends Gold and White Iron Fist
When I first started my small toy collection, the very first figure I picked up was the Toybiz Marvel Legends Iron Fist. Seeing him get some love from Hasbro made me geek out something fierce.
Looks like he's getting the Bruce Lee pose, though I would've liked it better if that hand wasn't exactly like Spider-Man's.
Marvel Universe Elektra
Back when I was starting, I wanted to get just characters from a specific group - namely, the Daredevil characters. Elektra, being a vital figure of that mythos, would make an excellent addition to my humble set.
Of course, Hasbro announced a hell of a lot more figures than those two. We're gonna get a new Punisher, Red She-Hulk, Archangel, Hyperion and a bunch of others. Check this page out to see them all. Incidentally, that's where I ganked those pics from, too. Thanks, MarvelousNews.com!
Deadpool Video Game
Finally, someone other than Spider-Man is getting a comic book inspired video game! It's being developed by High Moon Studios - you know, the same guys who gave us frickin' Transformers: War for Cybertron and the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron? Yeah, those guys. It looks pretty sweet already.
The Last of Us New Clip
Naughty Dog's next PS3 exclusive is shaping up to be one of the best looking, most intriguing games since Heavy Rain. The animation and voice acting are just superb!
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron More Deets
We've got multiplayer footage, baby! And yes, it is confirmed: ESCALATION IS BACK! The trophy for that is going to be a bitch to get!
Injustice: Gods Among Men
NetherRealm Studios, most known for their Mortal Kombat games, is putting together a DC-only fighting game that doesn't look too shabby. They've announced the inclusion of Nightwing and Cyborg. Now, it's getting interesting.
Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2
Oh, and speaking of Mortal Kombat, Legacy is coming back with a second season! The first season was balls-to-the-wall amazing! Can't wait to see what they've got lined up for us next.
Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 1 Box Set
This baby is going to sell for a whole lot of money. It includes Blu-Ray copies of Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers. It'll also have special footage that has never been released before. All that, and it comes in a nice Tesseract replica. I wish I had money to burn for this thing.
Edgar Wright showed the test clip at SDCC, though it was cut from most videos I've seen. I'm sure it'll surface on YouTube soon. Here's the revealed logo:
This could be mind-bogglingly good, or it might end up sucking. We've got an untested director doing a beloved property. Let's hope it gets treated well.
Oh, and that's spelled with a hyphen, too. Take note.
Iron Man 3
Aw hell yes! I have gone hoarse cheering along the people on the video of the panel for Iron Man 3. It's going to be one hell of a ride.
They got rid of the clips, but don't worry, you'll find them soon enough. It's a ridiculously entertaining panel; the fans really got into it, and so did the cast.
Another bit of great news for Iron Man 3 would be the Mark VIII reveal. Check it out.

I dunno, you guys. It looks kinda horrible. There's way too much flat looking yellowy gold. The good thing about this is that they're probably trying to go for the Bleeding Edge look. However, it may be called the Extremis armor, given that Maya Hansen is going to be in the movie, played by Rebecca Hall. I'm seriously hoping this is going to be an interim suit or maybe a specialized suit, kind of like the Mark V. The Mark V doesn't look like an Iron Man suit but it totally makes sense the way it was used. Iron Man and Iron Man 2 had three suits of armor per movie. Let's hope against all hope that we get a proper armor by the end of the movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Oh fuck yes. The Guardians of the Galaxy have a great following, but there's so much room for the creative team to play around with it. We could see them take on the Chitauri in space! The cast is the 2008 team, which I thought would be a hoot and a half. We're gonna get Star-Lord, Gamora, Groot, Drax and Rocket frickin' Raccoon!
Click to expand. The redesigns look pretty neat, though Rocket Raccoon would look fantastic in the red and blues.
Captain America: Winter Soldier
I think the Winter Soldier storyline is the second most important Captain America story in the mythology, next only to the Avengers finding him in ice. Cap's so iconic that you can't really mess with his status quo, so when Ed Brubaker broke the "don't bring these three characters back to life" rule, it was Earth shattering.
Thor: The Dark World
I really don't have much to say about this, but if they've expanded the scale to that of something worthy of Asgardian gods, then it may be the best out of all the Phase 2 movies. That is, if we get the Thor we had in The Avengers.
